My life has changed so much in the last ten years. It’s funny to think that when I was little my friends and I would always think about what are lives would be like when we got older. Well I’m 23 years old now and go to the college De Paul it’s in down town Chicago were I work at the Children’s Memorial Hospital in Illinois and I am still in training into becoming a doctor but for now I mostly help the doctors out with the patients. I live in a condo with my best friend Angelica and my dog Kayla who is a beagle, angelica rescued her from a dog shelter last year.
I learned a lot in school but three things that I learned at my middle school Gurrie really stuck with me. I had a really bad problem with being disorganized my locker was always messy so it took a long time to close my locker and that made me late to class most of the time. So me and my home room teacher would have days were I would clean my locker and she gave me tips on how to keep it more clean. Also in art class in 7th grade we made collages about are selves and I really liked it so me and the kids at the hospital make them for there parents on Christmas. I also learned to never give up and always keep trying my best.
Technology has changed A LOT in 10 years! We now have TVs were you just say what channel you want to watch and it turns to it. Thats the best thing about the new t.vs now i dont have to look for a remote ever again. Almost every computer is touch screen now and portable.
I was recently invited to a Gurrie middle school reunion on Saturday. I can’t wait to see all my old class mates again and see what they all look like now and what kind of jobs they have.
Its been every hard and all being adult but its been fun I go to a great college, an awesome job, and i have made some really good friends along the way.
